The Elephant Butte Irrigation District and the South Central Solid Waste Authority have partnered with the New Mexico Environment Department to offer three temporary opportunities for EBID members, farmers, and the public to legally dispose of tires. Help reduce illegal dumping by disposing of tires safely and legally.
In the Hatch, Dona Ana, and Chamberino areas, SCSWA roll-off dumpsters will be provided for one week in each location to collect tires that farmers and the public need to dispose.
Locations and Dates Below:
Hatch Area: EBID North Maintenance Yard, 3000 Hwy 187 – February 15-22
Las Cruces and Dona Ana Central Area: Valley Drive near Taylor Road – March 8-15
Chamberino Area: Near EBID S. Maintenance Yard, 10935 Hwy 28, La Mesa – April 19-26
Following these events EBID will not accept tires at any of these locations. These opportunities are brought to you by EBID and SCSWA, funded by NMED’s Solid Waste Bureau Recycling and Illegal Dumping (RAID) Fund.
