Keynote Speaker will be State Engineer John D’Antonio
Agenda Highlights include: State of New Mexico Dams and Forests, New Mexico Legislature and National Watershed Coalition updates, Clean Water Act/Waters of the US (WOTUS) update, Upper Watershed Erosion Control, overview of experiences with emergency responses and development of EAPs and Early Warning Systems, etc.
There will also be training on NRCS Dam Watch and updates/info on NRCS watershed funding opportunities, watershed legislation, the Rio Grande Water Fund and the South Central New Mexico Stormwater Coalition watershed restoration initiatives.
The full conference schedule includes discussion of GIS tools for dam owners and watershed managers, advanced GIS tools in cutting edge watershed and 2D hydraulic modeling.
