The Elephant Butte Irrigation District (EBID) is pleased to announce the re-election of four members to its Board of Directors following the recent District election. These board members will continue serving their respective precincts and providing leadership and oversight for the District in the years ahead.

The EBID Board of Directors plays a critical role in guiding District operations, setting policy, and ensuring responsible management of water resources that support agriculture, communities, and infrastructure throughout the region. Re-election reflects the trust and confidence placed in these individuals by EBID water users and stakeholders.

The following board members were re-elected to continue their service:

  • Casey Crist, Precinct 2
  • Greg Daviet, Precinct 4
  • Rafael Rovirosa, Precinct 6
  • Prescott (PK) Colquitt III, Precinct 8

At the Board’s January meeting, held January 14th, 2026, officers were also elected to leadership positions for the coming term. Rafael Rovirosa was voted by peers to serve as Board President, Greg Daviet was voted in as Vice President, and Randy Garay was elected Board Secretary.

Together, the Board and its officers bring valuable experience and institutional knowledge that support continuity as EBID advances key priorities, including infrastructure improvements, water delivery reliability, and long-term water management planning.

EBID appreciates the commitment of its board members, who dedicate their time and effort to serving the District and its water users. The District also thanks all who participated in the election process and the water users who took part by voting.

EBID looks forward to continuing its work under the leadership of the Board of Directors and remains committed to transparency, collaboration, and responsible stewardship of the region’s water resources.

Congratulations to the re-elected board members, the new board officers. We thank you for the continued service to the District and our shared communities.
